U.S. NAVY WW2 COMMANDER/CAPTAIN’S SERVICE CAP – QM PROPS

The image here shows the ‘field officer’ style of visor cap with its black cover. These caps were worn with khaki, black or white covers, depending upon theatre of operations and to some extent personal choice. ¬†Below the rank of Commander the visor was plain, and above the rank of Captain, there was an additional row of ‘scrambled egg’ adornment.
